== Introduction and how to use this platform ==
The Education Platform is presented as a series of key questions for developing district heating. The answers are provided on two levels: Introductory and Advanced Knowledge.

=== What is Introductory Knowledge ===
Introductory knowledge is required knowledge for learning about district heating in general and playing the serious game.

=== What is Advanced Knowledge ===
Advanced knowledge provides detailed knowledge on developing district heating systems. It includes knowledge resources and tools from projects for different district heat planning elements.

== Platform chapters ==
===[[What is district heating and the different types?]]===

===[[What are the different types of heat supply options?]]===

===[[What is the role of district heating in the future energy system?]]===

===[[How to plan low temperature district heating systems?]]===

== [[Serious game]] ==

http://rewardheat-game.hawk.de/

=== Learning outcomes / expectations ===

Participants are expected to take away from playing the game (as e.g. producers, consumers, government) the following:
* Increased awareness and engagement in the DHC transformation
* Challenges and barriers to the DHC transformation
* Interdependencies between different stakeholders
* Key technical, economic, ecological and socio-political aspects related to the heating sector
* LCOH calculation methodology
* Different types of DHC systems (HTDH, LTDH, ATDH) and their main features
* Different types of heat supply options (both individual and district heating options)

== Funding information ==
The REWARDHeat Educational Platform has been developed with funding from the REWARDHeat project: REWARDHeat - Renewable and Waste Heat Recovery for Competitive District Heating and Cooling Networks funded by the European Union Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement 857811.
